Default Target obstructed? why Anet didnt cut that?

How is posible after years and updates to have this "bug" with target obstructed? The warrior must go himself without player help to a location where the shoot isnt obstructed. Im wonder if heroes, henchies or foes have too this problem. I cant take care every minute if i play 3 hours to avoid wals or other things.
Also how is posible to have until now a so little storage? and still is litlle and the inventory too. Why Anet dont have a section for sugestions and the answers when u try to contact them are superficial? Also they havent a forum?

Target Obstructed was created for an effect of realism. Shooting through a wall doesn't make sense.

As for the storage? I'm guessing that at the time of Guild Wars release, they didn't have a way of expanding the sizes of it. It could either be related to game costs, or the engine at the time just wasn't capable of increasing it.

And I'm not sure why they don't have a forum...More cost/related issues? (I hate being so judgemental towards their income, but I got nothing.)

i guess we forgot to notice the extra storage we just recently got?

if your sight is obstructed while targeting shouldn't you be made aware of it? i can understand that maybe the character should move on its own for no obstruction, but your the player, you are supposed to play and adjust these things.

so you want a game where you push a button and the game does everything for you? if you're getting target obstructed, move somewhere so your view isn't obstructed . ..

It's not a bug, it's intended.

Not only do enemies, henchmen, and heroes experience it too, I've seen some enemies actually continue to attempt shooting through a wall rather than move so its no longer obstructed.

Actually, obstructions can be a very good thing. It's called cover, use it.

True, but you can't use it as cover all the time. Me and a guildie went out capping and got to an ele boss. We were no where near the wall but still getting the target obstructed message and the boss couldn't wand us either, but he still sent a 100+ damaging fireball through the wall.

actually what your boss was doing is something i do all the time while standing behind a wall. the meteor or meteor shower comes from above or sky so isnt obstructed. thats why i like those skills so much but yes you gotta watch those ele bosses that can do the same to you.

I have noticed lately, even if I have direct line of sight to a target it says that it is "obstructed." I can move and be right on top of it and it will still say "obstructed." It can be frustrating.

Would be right for Meteor, but doesn't apply to fireball. Obstructed works quite okay at most times, but can turn into a real nightmare when the map designjust plain sucks.

yes there are quite a few places (usually around bridges I find) where the target obstructed thing is bugged. Was doing bonus for one of the fire island missions other day and there was a bridge bit going over some lava. The only place where I didn't get the target obstructed message was when I was standing on top of the titan we were trying to kill, kinda ruins the whole defensive line when the casters have to stand next to the enemy to hit them. ^_^

Wow. Way to be ungratful about the storage upgrade.

And umm.. yeah shotting through walls makes no sense. Honestly, there is no point to this thread. Also, you broke a forum rule by posting a "multiple idea" thread. Closing in 3...2...1

I love the fact that you have to consider line of sight. I hate the obstructed bug. As a ranger, line of sight is everything to me -- I'm constantly working for/with it. I notice the obstruction bug all the time when a target is near the side of a bridge or staircase, and less often when near a wall. Sometimes no matter how much I move around, even if I stand right on top of the target, I still can't hit it. When that happens all I can do is stand there and root for the rest of the team... so annoying when a bug renders you completely ineffective.

Yes don't get me wrong, I like line of sight, and would hate the game without it. Just wish they would fix the bridge bugs.

there's a LOS bug with rotscale. if he moves onto the very top of the stairs of his little fort, it is impossible to hit him with projectile attacks even at point blank range.

as for bridges, it is important to note that what's a clear LOS to you might not be the same for your character. change your camera angle to the same level of your character. you'll find that the target really IS obstructed from that angle.
